Alec Baldwin was seen on an outing with his daughter, Ireland, 12. It was the first time he has been out with her in public since his infamous voice mail message on the phone. In that recording, Alec called his daughter a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” Alec had been battling his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, for the custody of Ireland. The couple was divorced in 2002 after 9 years of marriage.

After the voicemail was leaked on the internet, Alec made public apologies to Ireland. He defended himself on his website by writing that he had a normal relationship with his daughter. He lived in New York, while Ireland lived with her mother in Los Angeles. Alec refused to relocate to California.
