Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston in “Marley & Me.”

Owen Wilson was set to return to work for the first time after his dramatic suicide attempt in Aug. 2007. He had dropped out of “Tropic Thunder” after that to recover from his problem.

Owen, 39, will act opposite Jennifer Aniston, also 39, in “Marley & Me.” Shooting was scheduled for Mar. 2008. The plot would be about a couple who adopted a dog. It was to prepare them for parenthood. The dog turned out to be more than they could handle. This was the comedy part of the plot. This movie has been slated for release on Christmas Day, 2008. The plot was written from an adaptation of the book by John Grogan.
