Psychologist Stephanie Reeves is pregnant with patient’s child.

Stephanie Reeves, 30, a prison psychologist, had sex with her mentally ill patient and became pregnant. She said that she was keeping his baby and wished to raise their child together when he obtained his freedom. The patient was a 20 year old. He had paranoid schizophrenia and was held at Ashworth secure hospital.

The judge told Stephanie that she had committed a breach of trust but because of her attachment to her lover, she was shown mercy and not jailed. She received a suspended sentence of 12 months. Stephanie was very emotional and cried in court during her trial. Stephanie was estranged from her husband when she succumbed to her patient’s sexual advances. The judge was lenient because the patient said that he wished to continue his relationship with Stephanie after his release from the mental hospital.
