Jeremy Kyle Show led to domestic violence scandal.

Craig Platt, 27, threatened his wife Jane, with an air rifle, after she revealed on The Jeremy Kyle Show that he was not the father of their child. He was drunk at that time. Mrs. Platt fled home, via the bathroom window, still wearing her pajamas.

The court heard the evidence and gave him an indefinite prison sentence. He has to serve 18 months before he would be eligible to seek parole. Craig’s defence lawyer, Simon Christie, said that Craig was used as a public spectacle in the show. He repeated another judge’s opinion that the show was a human form of baiting.

The episode of the show has not been aired yet because the station, ITV, wanted to know the outcome of this case before making a decision on the airing.
