Beauty Queen Naomi Smith’s drink was spiked.

Naomi Smith, 19, was the Miss York and Miss England runner-up. She and her friends went to drink wine at a busy pub called the Revolution bar, in York, on Feb. 8. Suddenly, she started to black out. Her friends took her home. She vomited and was sent to hospital. Initial tests have revealed that she was drugged. She spent 5 hours in hospital, attached to a drip.

Naomi said that at one point, she went to the toilet and left her glass of wine with her friend. When she returned, she remembered talking and then she started having blackouts. She was semi-conscious. The next thing she knew, she was in hospital, attached to the drip.

Naomi spoke about her incident to highlight to others how dangerous it was to drink in public. The Revolution bar’s spokesman said that they would investigate as they desired to make their bar a safe environment for customers and staff.
