Sally Anne Bowman

The hearing in the Old Bailey court on the murder of Sally Bowman learnt that a neighbor heard her screams. Richard Wickes, a neighbor on the opposite side of the street on Blenheim Cresesnt, Couth Croydon, said that he as awoken by cries. He said that it sounded like “What are you doing?” He went to his bedroom window to look out into the road but could not see anything. His view was hidden by a skip structure. Sally’s body was found by another neighbor on the morning of Sept. 25, 2005.

Another neighbor, June Cumpper, said that she saw a man dragging something across the street on that fateful night of the murder. Although several neighbors have testified that they heard screams, nobody had actually witnessed the attack on Sally Bowman.
