Sally Anne Bowman was found murdered and her corpse suffered necrophilia. Her boyfriend, Lewis Sproston, 22, was questioned in court. He was asked if he had killed her. He denied it.

After Sally’s body was found, Lewis was the first to get arrested by police as he was known to be the last person to have seen her alive. He admitted to having quarreled with Sally but denied that he was her killer. Lewis said that their quarrels were about petty things like jealousy. Both of them mis-trusted each other and argued whenever they thought the other partner was unfaithful. The trial was continued to another day.
