Naomi Campbell lent her superstar celebrity glamour to the opening of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival. This year is the 200th anniversary of the arrival of the Portuguese Royal family in Brazil. There was a Sao Clemente samba group with 4200 members. They had floats decorated to show the Portuguese cultural heritage.
Naomi decided to party in a smaller city called Salvador da Bahia, instead of Rio de Janeiro. One reason maybe that it was less commercialized in the smaller city. Quincy Jones was also present with Naomi. It was less crowded and the street revelers could get up closer to the parade.
