Laura Pye, 18, Britain’s youngest female councilor for Henley Town Council, has many pictures of her wilder side on Facebook & MySpace. She defended her right to party, drink alcohol and behave just like any other teenager despite her status. Laura said that she did not break any laws nor cause any troubles. Her father supported her decisions.

Laura’s sexuality had hints that it orientated towards lesbianism. Her page in Facebook stated that she was married to her friend, Libby Oxberry. She had a photo that showed her straddling her legs across another girl. It looked like they were engaged in kissing.

Henley’s major, Terry Buckett, said that Laura did her work for the council and was entitled to her own private life. However, another conservative councilor, Joan Bland, objected to the carefree images and behavior of Laura being posted on public websites.
