Witnesses requested for rape case of girl.
Posted on January 23, 2008A girl, 16, was raped by a diplomat’s son, 18. Police found his DNA match on their database and arrested him. He had claimed diplomatic immunity but the Mongolian embassy waived it. The Mongolian Ambassador, Dalrain Davaasambuu said that if the boy had committed the alleged crime, he should be prosecuted. The boy was the son of a Mongolian envoy and could not be named in the press report.
The girl was attacked while she was waiting at the bus stop near Albert Hall Memorial, West London, last Friday. It was 1:25 am. The alleged story was that she was raped and robbed. After her attacker left, she went to a public phone booth and called a nightclub. The club’s staff called the police. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have continued their investigations into this case.
