Scandalous art on Kate Moss & Pete Doherty.

An artist, Russell Young, has superimposed the features of celebrities on the photos of Myra Hindley and Ian Brady. Myra and Ian were convicted child killers.

Russell wanted to communicate his message that celebrities practiced hedonism. It was an expression on the observation of the self-destructive behaviors of some celebrities.

The artist did the work by using computer technology to superimpose the faces of Kate and Pete onto the original mug shots and then the results were printed on canvas. Alternate gold and silver sheens were used. All 4 art works were sold for £28,000.

Russell himself was married to a celebrity – Finola Hughes, an actress in the General Hospital TV series. He should know well the pitfalls of the celebrities.
