Richard Creary, 38, invaded David Gill’s house and caught him red-handed with his wife in bed. He used a Stanley knife to slash at his throat. David ran out of his house and down a mile farther to his neighbor’s house to call the police.

David Gill was the millionaire owner of a local zoo, known as the South Lakes Wild Animal Park at Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. He said that he was tucking his son into bed when suddenly, Richard ambushed him and injured him in the neck. This episode happened in Aug. 2007. On Jan. 17, 2008, Richard Creary, a former rugby player, was sentenced to 5 years’ imprisonment for his crime. David revealed that Alison, Richard’s wife, and himself had separated because their relationship failed to work after Richard had attacked him.
