Did Britney Get Special Treatment?
Posted on January 19, 2008The paparazzi have been keeping a 24 hour watch on Britney Spears for way to long. Why does every moment of her life have to be under the public eye? Many are saying that her life is starting to resemble that of the late Princess Diana who was chased to her death by the vicious paparazzi and fear that Britney is heading down the same road.
Just last week, 4 paparazzi were arrested for following her white Mercedes to closely and for driving at unsafe speeds of over 100 miles per hour. Britney was just trying to get away from them so the Los Angeles Police Department let her go after verifying her identity with her drivers license.
Why didn’t Britney get the same ticket for driving at unsafe speeds? She was leading the chase, so she determined how fast everyone was going. Did she think if she went really fast she would be able to lose the paparazzi that has been trained to follow her every move no matter what she does?
While the people who were chasing her was taken to the police department, she drove off in her Mercedes and she didn’t even turn her lights on. The video shows the police watching as she drives away into the night and traffic with no headlights and they don’t even seem to care.
What do you think? Should Britney have been given a ticket for wreckless driving or did the LA Police Department do the right thing by letting her go?

I believe there maybe a loophole in the law stating if someone is chasing you then you can exceed the limit if you believe you are in danger etc.
The people behind chasing obviously get the charge of speeding / dangerous driving etc.
This was dangerous behaviour of the paparazzi. They should follow at a safe distance or actually be at the location where she is travelling to instead.
