Many of you may remember him as Sam the butcher from the Brady Bunch, or his earlier role in the Andy Griffith Show.  He also played in many other sitcoms as a featured guest from time to time.  You might know his voice better than his face as he did many popular cartoon characters.

Some cartoons you might remember him from are the Smurfs, Flintstones and Magilla Gorilla to name just a few.  He also was the voice of many other cartoon characters over the years.

The memory of Allan Melvin will live on in the reruns that are shown of his sitcoms and cartoons for a long time to come.
