Adnan Ghalib looked like a clean-cut, bespectacled nerd when he was younger. He had the typical innocent boyhood growing up in a strict Muslim family. He wore dowdy shirts and attended family parties. He started growing his beard and moustache at the age of 17.

There were some earlier reports that Adnan’s parents were from Pakistan but this information has been edited. The latest report said that Adnan was originally from Afghanistan. His family and himself emigrated to London in 1977 when he was 5 years old. They were refugees. The family went to settle in Birmingham. An old newspaper article by The Daily Star stated that Adnan emigrated to the U.S. in 1996. He was the manager of a strip bar. Then he changed his job and became a paparazzo. Some of the dates of the photos did not add up because if he was 35 in 2007, he would have been born in 1972 and yet the unverified photo showed a young boy in 1972.

There were rumors and gossip from a source that Britney Spears had employed Adnan as her personal assistant. He was paid several thousand British pounds each week. He cleaned her house, ran her errands, and acted as her defender and representative in interviews. Adnan had moved into Britney’s Malibu residence.

One source told Mail Online that Britney showered Adnan with gifts because she was desperate to hang on to him. There were conflicting reports on whether Britney had bought Adnan a new Mercedes sports car. The car showroom’s staff said that while Adnan enquired about the different schemes for financing a car, Britney did not seem interested to buy the car for him. Another source has said that Britney Spears bought a Mercedes for Adnan so that he could chauffeur her around in the new car.

A source said that Adnan charged USD$1000 for every “off-the-record”interview to talk about his relationship with Britney Spears.
