Johnny Depp & Vanessa Paradis - grateful family news.
Posted on January 15, 2008Johnny Depp, 43, made a secret visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital on Sunday to donate £ 1 million. It was a gesture of gratitude since the staff saved his daughter, Lily-Rose, when her kidneys failed in March 2007. Lily-Rose supposedly got infected with E. coli, a dangerous bug. At that time, the family was staying at Surrey while Johnny was filming Sweeney Todd. Disney also donated £10 million towards the £170 million the hospital needed for the re-development of its site.

Lily Rose, 8, Vanessa Paradis, 34, and Jack John, 6.
Johnny had also invited five of the doctors and nurses to the London premiere of Sweeney Todd last week. Johnny also spent time as a volunteer, entertaining the children in the hospital. He had dressed up in his costume to entertain the sick children. He was dressed as Jack Sparrow, his character from the Pirates Of The Caribbean.
