Richard Thompson had sexual trysts with pupil.

Richard Thompson, 33, was married and a P.E. teacher when he had a relationship with a 17 year old girl in his school. The newspaper found out that they used the school minibus, Richard’s house and hotels for illicit encounters.

Judge Stephen Gullick said that he was not sentencing Richard to imprisonment because the girl stated that she would continue her relationship with Richard after he obtained his divorce from his wife.

Richard’s name was recorded in the Sex Offenders’ Register. All offenders were barred from having anyone under 18 in their house or being in the company of anyone under 18 if un-supervised.

The girl’s parents were against the relationship but were helpless against her will. The girl had changed schools since the news broke out.
