Posted on January 11, 2008Anita Phillips, 20, a model, committed suicide after her fiancé, Giacomo Agostini, 31, died from drug overdose. The coroner found that she took an overdose of opiate drugs. Anita killed herself and her baby girl, who was eight and a half months in gestation. Before her death on July 12, 2007, she left behind several suicide notes. She expressed her grief at her fiance’s death. She thought that death would re-unite them.
After the inquest, Anita’s parents, Christina and Stephen Harding, from Milehouse, Plymouth, Devon, said that they wished to remember Anita for her goodness.
When Anita was 17 years old, she was once married to Howard Phillips and had a son, Jerome. Later, she separated from Howard. She fell in love with Giacomo Agostini and was living with him in Italy. She was on a visit back to U.K. in April 2007 when he suddenly died from a drug overdose.
