Naomi Campbell, 37, was in Uruguay as a reporter and humanitarian. She was also the guest of Guiseppe Cipriani, a millionaire. Naomi had plans to interview V.I.P.s for GQ, the British males’ magazine. Naomi had done an interview with Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez. She also toured around the country to see the homes donated by Chavez. Even Cuba’s President Fidel Castro had agreed to chat with her and they were waiting for the right time to meet up as Castro was infirm then.

The editor of GQ, Dylan Jones, said that he was confident Naomi’s fame would enable her to secure exclusive interviews with the famous leaders.
