Billie Piper and her bridegroom, Laurence Fox, wore matching, ankle length winter coats on their wedding day. It was a good thing too as Billie’s white wedding dress got weighed down by the coat and appeared to have slipped somewhat. The coat helped to prevent a wardrobe malfunction photo taking opportunity. Their wedding ceremony was a low key affair in a village church in West Sussex on New Year’s Eve.

Billie’s former co-stars from her TV series, Dr. Who, turned up. Her ex-husband, Chris Evans, and his new wife, Natasha Shishmanian, also came. There were about 400 curious on-lookers. The guests were instructed to keep the venue a secret but the secret was leaked. Only those with invitations were allowed inside the church to witness the wedding.
