Will Smith edited himself.
Posted on December 28, 2007Will Smith has refuted claims that he praised Adolf Hitler as a good person. He said that he was quoted out of context by the reporter from The Daily Record, the Scottish newspaper. Will said that he was angry that the reporter made misinterpretations of his remarks. He further clarified his stance against the Nazis and Hitler by saying that the German ruler was evil and guilty of murders.
The Jewish human rights group, the Anti-Defamation League, has accepted Will Smith’s explanation and apology. Abraham H. Foxman, the spokesman from the group, said that celebrities bore the responsibilities to speak out against racism and bigotry.
