Miss France, Valerie Begue, has the photo scandals.

Valerie Begue,22, was crowned Miss France on Dec. 8. Less than a fortnight later, controversial photos of Valerie have emerged. The head of the Miss France Committee, Ms. Genevieve de Fontenay has called for Valerie Begue to resign because of the tainted photos. Ms. Genevieve has threatened to resign if the sponsors did not respect her decisions.

Valerie has refused to step down. She said that the photos were published without her permission. One photo showed Valerie clad in a skimpy bikini. She was lying down on a floating cross in a swimming pool. This image clashed with some religious views.

Miss France is disallowed to pose for controversial photos for 5 years after election. However, those naughty photos of Valerie were taken before her election so that should not count against her.
