Queen Latifah’s Newest Gig

Beginning next month, Queen Latifah will be a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight loss organization. A spokesperson for the organizatin said in a statement: “We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle.”

Latifah will join other Hollywood actresses Valerie Bertinelli and Kirstie Ally with her upcoming endorsements of the weight loss product. Valerie reportedly lost 30 pounds, while Kirstie lost 75. Wonder what the weigh in will be for Queen when she’s on the program?

Latifah has been a CoverGirl spokesmodel since 2001 as well. She created her own line of Covergirl products called The CoverGirl Queen Collection.

Queen Latifah and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson have signed on to star in the movie adaptation of the Sue Monk Kidd novel “The Secret Life of Bees”. She was last on the big screen in “Hairspray,” and will be seen next alongside Katie Holmes in this winter’s, “Mad Money.”
