Justin Timberlake will be performing a set of stunts at the 2008 Super Bowl during the advertising break. The “SexyBack” singer, who made news around the world in 2004 for his shocking performance with Janet Jackso during the big game, is working on a commercial for Pepsi. The incident with Jackson resulted in a wardrobe malfunction that exposed her breast to 140 million people around the world.
It’s estimated that Timberlake is worth $56 million, so he has reportedly fully insured himself after agreeing to perform all the stunts for the commercial. He was rigged to wires, lifted into the air and spun around, to simulate being hit by a car.
Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol MC, is set to host this years festivities.
Comedian Will Ferrell is slated to promote his new sports movie Semi-Pro during the broadcast. The actor plays a basketball player-owner-coach in the new film, which is due for release shortly after the Super Bowl airing. According to the New York Post, Ferrell will play his character in a Budweiser commercial.
