Pete Doherty in Bar Brawl

Pete Doherty was punched in the face by a reputed drug dealer in a pub Sunday night according to reports. The Babyshambles star is said to have been assaulted at the Sun Inn in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Police have revealed they are investigating the alleged incident, but there isn’t yet any proof that the scuffle was over drugs. Some sources claim the drug dealer was upset that Doherty wasn’t getting his party materials from him. Doherty’s record label, Parlophone, said the attack took place but denied it was over narcotics.

Last week, the singer failed to show up for Babyshambles’ latest show in London and was replaced by a fan. The band’s new single, “You Talk”, was a new entry at number 54 in the UK charts yesterday.
