The Golden Compass Controversy.

Sam Elliot is a veteran actor who had a role in the controversial movie, “The Golden Compass.” He has defended the film as not anti-religion. Recently, William Donohue, the head of “Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights”, had claimed that the movie was anti-Catholic without even watching it. William has helped to make The Golden Compass controversy as one of the hottest search items in Yahoo’s search engine for this week.

Sam urged the public to watch the movie before passing judgment on it. He said that the negative publicity would help to raise awareness of the film and gain more viewers for it.

In the movie, Sam starred as Lee Scorseby, an aeronaut with a flying ship. The Golden Compass is the first book in the author Philip Pullman’s trilogy called, “His Dark Materials.” Nicole Kidman was the leading female antagonist against the teen actress, Dakota Blue Richards.
