Ricky “Hitman” Hatton and Floyd Mayweather face each other in one of the biggest boxing matches ever. The TV revenue was estimated to be £60million, as each viewer paid £15 to access satellite and cable TV to watch the fight. The US air time is on Saturday night while the UK viewers stay up at 4 am, Sunday, Dec. 9.

UK gamblers on boxing sports have invested a total of £16 million on this match alone. Bookmakers have predicted that Hatton was backed to win this match.

Hatton, 29, was the hot favorite because he had a record of 43 wins. His trademarks were the toe-to-toe style and his fierce body shots attacking his opponent.

The fight’s venue was fixed at the MGM Arena. All 3,900 tickets were sold out as soon as they were launched. The celebrities who were anticipated to attend were David Beckham, Jude Law, Jason Statham, Gordon Ramsay and Mike Tyson.
