Salma Hayek Debuts Baby Valentina

Salma Hayek is giving the world a first glimpse of her daughter with her businessman fiancé François-Henri Pinault, Valentina Paloma Pinault, born Sept. 20. “Motherhood is not for everyone,” the 41-year-old actress has said. “It is for me.” Hayek has appeared in over 30 movies and has received nominations for Golden Globe, Emmy and Academy awards.
The “Ugly Betty” producer has followed the lead of some of the most anticipated celebrity baby photographs of all times. Like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Julia Roberts, the new mom released a photograph herself - perhaps to avoid the paparazzi hype associated with those first public photographs.
The father of Valentina, Francois-Henri Pinault, is the chief executive officer of PPR SA, which owns such fashion brands as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Puma and Balenciaga. Pinault was once linked to Nicole Kidman. He was previously married and has two children. His father, François, is an avid art collector owning more than 2,500 valuable pieces, including Picassos, Miros and work by contemporary artitsts including Damien Hirst. His family fortune is estimated in excess of $7 billion.
Salma is rumored to have secretly married Francios-Henri, as she holds a credit card with the name “Salma Hayek-Pinault” on it. She’s also repeatedly referred to the billionaire as her “husband.” The couple have publicly announced their engagement but there is no official word on a date for nuptials.
