Helio Castroneves went on ABC News Radio to talk about winning Dancing With The Stars and his fiancée, Aliette Vazquez. Although he knew that his engagement was not working out, he spoke as if he was still an attached man.
Helio said that his fiancée could deal with his close friendship with his dancing partner, Julianne Hough, because she understood that it was a professional relationship. The press found out that Helio and Aliette had not been taking to each other for weeks. They had drifted apart way before Julianne came along.
Aliette’s spokesman, Howrad Bragman, told the press that Aliette would clarify facts when she needed to. Apart from that, she would not be speaking to the press because she wanted to maintain her privacy.

I can understand him lying. As soon as anyone hears a rumor about problems, they are in the spotlight. Keeping things under wraps, let’s them have a little privacy.
