Beauty Queen, Ingrid Marie Rivera got more than she bargained for. A prankster had doused her evening gowns and makeup with pepper spray. She broke out in hives after each use of the items. She applied ice bags to her face and body to reduce the swellings.
The prankster blew it when the malicious deed was repeated a second time and officials did not let it pass as they grew suspicious. Ingrid’s clothing and makeup were sent for tests and that was how they found out the truth.
Ingrid had attracted controversy from the start since people said that she had prior experience as the winner in Miss World Caribbean 2005. That was seen as an unfair advantage over the other contestants.
