Artimus Pyle, ex-drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd, was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.
Posted on November 22, 2007Thomas Delmer Pyle, aka Artimus Pyle, 59, was the ex-drummer of the rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. He had a conviction in 1993 when he pleaded guilty to sexual battery and molestation charges. The offence was committed on a minor. He was handed a sentence of 8 years of probation. He was also ordered to register himself as a sex offender.
Pyle went into the sheriff’s office to discuss about his old conviction. He wanted to give an explanation to cover himself for not registering his address. All sex offenders were required to do so.
The police arrested him but he has posted his bail of $10,000.
