Mary-Kate Olsen Hospitalized

Actress Mary-Kate Olsen is recovering in a New York hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for a kidney infection. Olsen’s representative, Nicole Caruso, says the star is “resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so.” The former child star and fashion line creator recently said she was in good health following her 2004 stay at Utah’s Cirque Lodge to treat an eating disorder.

Olsen rose to fame on TV’s “Full House” in a shared role with her twin sister, Ashley. She recently starred on Showtime’s “Weeds.” She co-stars with Ben Kingsley in “The Wackness,” slated for release next year.
