Angelina Jolie’s adopted daughter, Zahara, has a natural mother who suddenly made herself known. It was thought that the mother, Mentewab Dawit, had expressed her desire to be united with Zahara in their homeland. However, the latest news reported that Mentewab has denied that. Mentewab has said that she supported the adoption.

Zahara was abandoned by her mother because of poverty. Mentewab’s mother then gave up Zahara for adoption. That was when Angelina Jolie came along.

Angelina Jolie said that Zahara was an orphan and she was caught lying. A magazine investigated into Zahara’s adoption paper and found out that Zahara indeed has a grandmother and family living in Africa.
