Bindi has become a household name with her own fashion line of clothes, CDs, videos, magazine covers, chat show appearances and catwalk modeling. She has more merchandize coming out soon.

When Bindi’s father, Steve Irwin, was killed by a sting ray,his fans were inconsolable. It was too soon for the 44 year old animal educator and activist to die. When Bindi was brought into the limelight, people welcomed the substitution.

Today, some people question the wisdom of pushing a nine year old Bindi into the spot light vacated by her father. Terri Irwin, Steve’s widow, claimed that it was Bindi who had insisted that they continue her father’s work.
