Prince is said to be suing three major fan websites for violating his copyrights. He said they had used his images without permission. However, there were contradictory claims from Prince’s staff. They said that Prince wanted to negotiate with the fan sites.

Apparently, Prince’s trademarks and original photos were used without prior written permission. Prince himself was also surfing the internet to catch music pirates who used his songs in YouTube and other videos.

Prince is so intense on this project that he has recorded a song about it. The song is titled “Pfunk”. He sung the lyrics - “The only reason you say my name is to get your fifteen seconds of fame, nobody’s even sure what you do. I don’t care what people may say, I ain’t gonna let it ruin my day.
