Drew Carey defends the use of medical marijuana.
Posted on November 4, 2007Drew Carey, the host of “The Price Is Right” and “Power of 10”, did a Reason.tv video documentary on medical marijuana. He argued that the federal government needed to reclassify marijuana. In the war on drugs, the government has raided dispensaries and cut off patients’ access to medical marijuana.
Medical marijuana can be bought on prescription legally in 12 states. It is used to treat symptoms of cancer, chronic pain, nausea, glaucoma, HIV-AIDS, and other effects caused by illnesses.
Drew Carey has filmed this documentary, called the “Drew Carey Project”, to examine the cases of patients who require medical marijuana in California. When the federal government reduced access to this drug, the patients suffered because they needed the drug.
