Julia Roberts acts in her new movie, “Charlie Wilson’s War”, along with Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The video clip trailer is here.
This movie is a biography of Charlie Wilson. He was a Texas Congressman. He had weaknesses for women and drink. He persuaded the CIA to help resistance movement fighters in Afghanistan. His goal was to train them for self-defense against the Soviet Union. It achieved results. The bad consequences were that the Talibans and terrorists like Osama bin Laden also became powerful.
“Charlie Wilson’s War” is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day, 2007. Can you imagine watching a war movie on Christmas?
