1) American Gangster.
Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington) is a NYC drug kingpin’s driver. When his boss dies, he takes over the operations. Richie Roberts (Russell Crowe) is the detective on Lucas’ case. This is based on a biography.
2) Bee Movie.
The bee, Barry B. Benson, (Jerry Seinfeld), finds a savior in Vanessa (Renee Zellweger). However, he is dismayed to learn that humans steal honey from bees. He decides to take matters into his own hands.
3) Darfur Now.
Six human rights activists tell their stories about genocide in Darfur. This is a documentary.
4) Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten.
Joe Strummer was the frontman for the punk rock group, The Clash. He died in a tragedy. This documentary was made from excerpts from Joe’s voice interviews. Other contributors include surviving members of The Clash, Joe’s friends and fans. Johnny Depp, John Cusack and Bono are also featured.
5) Martian Child.
John Cusack plays a sci-fic writer who struggles to cope with his wife’s death. He adopts a boy (Bobby Coleman) to help him overcome his grief. However, this boy adds more troubles by behaving as if he came from Mars.
