Shauna Sands, ex-wife of Lorenzo Lamas, loves Lucite platform heels. Her feet look good in them, except for the last toe. Shauna has been photographed wearing these icy shoes since 2001. She must be having dozens of them.

Here are some tips for basic care of feet.

1) Check your feet for any superficial injuries like blisters or abnormalities.

2) Make it a routine to wash your feet in warm water daily and dry thoroughly in-between the toes.

3) Cut and trim toe nails straight across to avoid the problem of ingrown toe nails.

4) Wear footwear all the time. Use house slippers even at home.

5) Protect your feet from adverse weather conditions.

6) Wriggle your toes when you have been stationary for a while to improve the blood circulation.
