Martina Hingis has tested positive for cocaine at Wimbledon. She denied any wrong doing but announced her retirement from professional tennis. The accusation started when a company said that her urine test was positive for cocaine.

Martina claimed she arranged for a private test and her result was negative for cocaine. Moreover, her lawyer found inconsistencies with the urine sampling procedure taken during that Wimbledon testing.

Martina alleged that the sample that was tested could not have been hers. She gave further reasons for her retirement. They include her being physically challenged with age, her discouragement with the officials and now, this fight about using drugs.
