J.K. Rowling sells Albus Dumbledore as a failed gay lover of Gellert Grindelwald.
Posted on October 20, 2007Gay guys have a new friend in Harry Potter’s Albus Dumbledore.
J.K. Rowling made the startling revelation about Albus when a fan approached her with a question about Albus. What will she say next?
JK Rowling told her audience that sorcery and magic did not help a gay like Albus Dumbledore. He was troubled by his love for his arch rival, Gellert Grindelwald. Albus betrayed his love when he defeated Gellert.
Rowling is her own smart marketing PR. She has just aligned herself with the masses of gays world wide. As a matter of fact, one U.K. gay rights human activist, Peter Tatchell, immediately spoke up giving his approval of Rowling acknowledging the gays in community and fiction. This was quickly followed by another spokesman who praised Rowling for her admission. And so the cascading effects will carry on well until the next Rowling drama upstages this.
It should be noted that Rowling might have planned to upstage her character after the fact that her last sequel, “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows”, sold 11 million within its first 24 hours of launch. We can expect the 6th movie, “Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince” to debut in Nov. 2008.
