What’s down with Nick Cannon and Selita Ebanks.

Actor Nick Cannon and lingerie model from Victoria’s Secret, Selita Ebanks, have barely been engaged for five months before suddenly announcing a split. They join a long list of splits in celebrity divorces or broken engagements that came into public view recently in one way or another.
Among who’s who in the list are Britney Spears, Sara Evans, Denise Richards, Heather Mills, Jennifer Lopez and Pamela Anderson.
Selita’s representative, Melissa Raubvogel , released a public statement about the parting of ways. They had to focus on their careers first. It is all about putting the horse before the carriage and focusing on their careers and milking the most out of their appeal before time and tide turn against them.
The first signs of trouble surfaced when Nick could not discuss the specifics of the wedding details. He told People magazine that he needed time. The euphoria of the romantic proposal passed without the follow up ripples.
Selita voiced her preference for a simple courthouse ceremony while Nick said he wanted a big wedding celebration.
It is a bit regretful that it ended this way but this is what tinsel town and fluff is made up of.
