This is the divorce story of the week.

Sara Lynn Evans, the country music singer and song writer, and her estranged husband, Craig Schelske, have filed an agreement to resolve their divorce amicably. This calm comes after the storms in the teacup, when Sara filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years. Craig is an aspiring politician in Oregon. Sara Evans had her say in court, accusing her former spouse of adultery and excessive pornography viewing. That might hurt his political career.

Sara made some more wild allegations which Craig promptly denied. Craig in turn, filed court documents to demand some confessions from Sara. He wanted her to admit to adultery. It appears that they have aired sufficient dirty laundry and decided to turn over new leaves. Both now say they want to spare their three children from the hurt caused by mud slinging.

Sara, being the richer and more famous of the ex-couple, was ordered to pay Craig around $600 000 in alimony, plus hand over two properties in Oregon. Sara will remain in her Tennessee home. They will share custody of their three kids. It is unlikely that they will play up the media hype in the ways that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline did when it comes to the kids.
