Celebrities unite against the skinny fad.

Hollywood celebrities are in one voice regarding anorexia, the fatal eating disorder. Amanda Bynes, Miley Cyrus, Emmy Rossum, Lauren Conrad, Portia de Rossi, Brittany Snow, Mary Kate Olsen, Scarlette Pomers, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Tracey Gold have contributed personal quotes to support the National Eating Disorders Association.

Lynn Grefel, CEO of the National Eating Disorders Association, said that the public image of thinness being associated with glamour should change. The fierce competition escalates the paranoia to be thin and slowly becomes a mental illness.

This comes after Italian fashion house, Nolita, sponsored a huge billboard with a naked anorexic French actress to highlight the mortal eating disorder. The battle of the binge can be won with proper treatment of the disease in the correct facility.

Emmy Rossum offered this piece of golden nugget; “… people really need to feel good about themselves and their bodies… “ This makes sense. However, don’t overdo it.
