O.J. Simpson was a Heisman Trophy winner, ex-NFL star and actor when he was named as a responsible party in the killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1994. Simpson got off lightly but was slapped with paying a heavy $33.5 million award to the families of the murdered victims. He is imprisoned by debt and has auctioned off his valuable collectibles accrued during his illustrious football career. It comes without surprise that Simpson appears desperately eager to recover whatever mementos that are financially valuable. He is no stranger to deploying upper hand techniques and took the law into his own hands when he snatched away what he deemed were his personal property.
On Friday, police named Simpson as a suspect in the armed robbery at Palace Station casino. Simpson refused to give a formal, recorded interview to the police, citing his rights to consult with his lawyer first. However, he has given interviews to literally all the high profile media, refuting any wrong doing.
Eye-witnesses told that the group of men used the surprise attack strategy to barge in like a pack of bloodthirsty armed men to snatch away the paraphernalia of Simpson’s past fame. Bruce Fromong, Simpson’s friend and collector, was present at the scene and he said, “O.J.’s in enough trouble. For him to come and do this kind of thing, I don’t know what’s wrong with O.J. This is stupidity.”
Stupid once, stupid always.
