Mindy McCready is sentenced on Friday, Sep 14, to serve time for one year. She has been apprehended since July and will continue her incarceration directly.
McCready burned her probation when she was arrested in Nashville for a domestic dispute during which she inflicted her mother with superficial injuries. No worries, the cat will be declawed soon. She has one brush too many with the law and the bristles have stung. McCready was graced with a suspended 3 year probation in 2004 after being charged with fraudulent possession of prescription painkillers.
McCready was a pathetic sight as she sobbed and pleaded for leniency from Circuit Judge Jeff Bivins. He removed unmoved. Apparently he expressed the opinion that McCready could do with a bit of a time out to ponder over the 4 charges of violation of probation, being served with a new charge of battery, hiding the new assault charge from her probation officer and driving on a suspended license.

Mindy McCready and Roger Clemens were rumored to have known each other since she was 15 years old. There was gossip about their alleged sexual affair here.
