Who Is Chris Crocker?

The YouTube and MySpace Internet sensation, Chris Crocker, is a nineteen-year-old, outspoken fem gay boy whose videos and blog postings have gone viral in a huge way. The highlighted blonde lives with his grandparents in a small-minded rural Southern town. Crocker discloses his location on his MySpace page only as “Real Bitch Island.” His last name is actually a pseudonym. So, despite the soul-baring videos compiled by this Internet celebrity, there really is very little known about him.
According to Seattle newspaper, The Stranger, Crocker is being courted by a Los Angeles producer, Glenn Meehan, to develop ideas for a TV Show – possibly a reality show filmed at the home of Chris’ grandparents. Matt Sunbulli, MTV’s “web correspondent,” has reportedly requested a Chris Crocker video for MTV’s website though there are reservations that Crocker’s uncensored web presence will translate well via the medium of television. Are the masses ready for a “real bitch in a fake-ass world?”
