David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey appear naked –

as they discard their armor of pride and rivalry and sit down to actually help Oprah’s premiere of her “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. David Letterman appeared relaxed as he discussed about himself, his new role as a father to his three year old son, Harry, the love child from his girlfriend, Regina Lasko.

The first episode of Oprah’s 22 episode season was taped on uncommon grounds at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan instead of the customary Harpo Studios in Chicago. What does this say about the so-called truce between Letterman and Oprah?

Letterman delivered his usual gags and punch lines during his interview. Oprah maintained her usual worn mask of polite detachment. These two celebrities should be commended for maintaining studio peace and order in public, if not in private. At least they did not lunge at each other’s throat like the way Tommy Lee and Kid Rock did.
