Another Hollywood hook-up ending in seperation was recently announced by E!Online, People, and Us Weekly. Heath Ledger and his Brokeback Mountain co-star Michelle Williams have ended their three-year relationship together. Press is reporting that the split is an amicable one which is a good thing considering the couple have a two-year-old daughter together named Matilda Rose. Matilda was born in October of 2005.
The couple first met in 2004 during the filming of Brokeback Mountain. Ledger and Williams both received Oscar nominations for their performances as a married couple in the gay romance. There were rumors circulating at one time that the couple married in a low-key ceremony but this was never confirmed.
Williams, best known as Jen Lindley in Dawson’s Creek, is currently filming the drama thriller Incendiary with Ewan McGregor. Ledger, meanwhile, has been working on the next Batman film, The Dark Knight. He’ll be playing the role of The Joker alongside actor Christian Bale. Heath was spotted at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week to promote the Bob Dylan biopic I’m Not There. Michelle reportedly stayed behind in New York, where the couple made their home during their relationship.
