Does real life mirror reel life?

Does Jenna Fischer mirror her character? She acts in NBC’s “The Office”, as Pam Beesly, the timid, mousy secretary who falls big time for her colleague, Jim Halpert, played by John Krasinki. Fischer’s publicist, Lewis Kay, said on Friday, September 7, that Fischer and her film director husband, James Gunn, have split.

Jenna Fischer, 33, and James Gunn, 37, maintain separate MySpace accounts and on Wednesday, they posted the same, neutral message to announce to their fans that they are separated. They plead for calm and acceptance of their decisions. Fearing a backlash of reactions, the messages warn against posting any defamatory and negative comments. The offenders will be deleted. They will not entertain any media interviews as regards to their divorce. It is an amicable split. Gunn’s statement on his MySpace webpage said, “The enthusiasm we have for each other’s lives, spirits and careers is real — we have been each other’s cheerleader and friend during the past six years and continue to be so now and in the future.”

Yeah, right.
